Dr. D. K. Taknet is a distinguished business historian and writer. He was awarded a doctorate for his first published research book. Later, he has undertaken many analytical research studies of national importance and been awarded multiple scholarships and fellowships by premier institutions such as the University Grants Commission, Indian Council of Social Sciences Research, New Delhi, and others. He is the author of numerous awarded and best-seller publications. Enriched with over thirty years of research and teaching experience, his documentation of Indian industrialists and business houses has resulted from over a thousand interviews with eminent corporate executives and organizations. In addition, he writes extensively for national and international print media. An avid traveller, he has participated in a wide range of international seminars, conferences, and taught at several universities. He is also associated with many prestigious professional and social organizations as a life member.
